Playing with Posers

I wanted to do something different with my cards. I have been using various rubber stamps and royalty free vintage images but I wasn't quite happy with the results. Some images just don't print with good resolution and I love rubber stamping but found it also very limited. I had seen digital poser art being used for creating web sets, tags and banners and found these images to be striking with the 3dimensional quality. Its as if you can see through the images. So much of the art is fantasy based so lots of fairy images available. After surfing the web and looking for images and usage policies I found some sellers of poser art. The price is exceptionally cheap and the commercial usage perfect for my needs. I purchase the backgrounds and images separate and from different artist and then make my own images from them. I've had so much fun playing with posers. The colors are so vibrant and they photograph beautifully. Here are some samples of my work so far. Lots of Halloween inspired cards.

This is Raven. I printed this on Epson High Gloss Photo Paper. Great paper!! I have a canon MP810 printer and I love the ink quality. This card was made using stickles, beadzzle beads, white linen and black tie bling papers.

This is Witches Brew. I love the intensity of her. This is printed on HP premium plus high Gloss paper. The color combination of teal and deep mauve embellished with silver accents is very elegant. I finished this card and then went back and glittered the brew inside the pot and just coming out. It was such a small thing but made the card feel even more dimensional. One of my fav's!!

This punk'd out witch is ready to celebrate Halloween. I love this image!! It came from http://www.sweetpeastubes.net/ and the background was from http://schonees.etsy.com.
